As a mentor and officer of the Grace chapter of Teenshop and a former member and Junior Counselor of the Young Performers Theatre Camp, Ms. Henry knew first hand how much of an impact being involved in enrichment activities and learning the arts could help students achieve goals and build self-esteem. Ms. Henry then begin to create a business plan that would help bring forth her vision to create a place like SCH CAPA that will give students the chance to maximize their artistry.

In June of 2010, Suzann founded and incorporated SCH Creative & Performing Arts, Inc., a nonprofit organization geared to educate adolescents on how to maximize their artistry. She felt the need to give back to her community through something that was dear to her heart. Forming this organization was one way to keep children involved in something positive and it would allow children to build self-confidence and self-esteem. Suzann’s hope and prayer is to reach out and empower as many children in the Philadelphia area as possible, who have an interest in something creative and that they will be able to reach their full potential in their creativity.
