Welcome to Mothers Making Music and Moves!
Come join us for a fundraiser sponsored by The City of Philadelphia through Councilman Isaiah Thomas for nonprofit organization SCH Creative & Performing Arts Inc at Venice Island Performing Arts & Recreation Center celebrating Mothers Making Music and Moves. We are honoring Motown, Philadelphia International Records R&B, Jazz, Pop Star; Jean Carn The Mother of Black Music Month and celebrity strategist Dyana Williams and CEO of HiTouch Enterprise, concert producer/manager and stage manager Felicia Williams. The event will be hosted by Power 99 (iHeart) radio personality Roxy Romeo, a panel style conversation with mothers who are in the entertainment industry, resources for mothers, and live performances.
SCH Creative & Performing Arts, Inc. (SCH CAPA), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Singer Songwriter Suzann Christine in June of 2010. SCH CAPA is an after-school program dedicated to nurturing the artistic talents of youth aspiring to be music artists. We encourage adolescents ages 8 to 18 throughout the Philadelphia region to develop their full creative potential through the Visual and Performing Arts.
This event aims to honor and uplift mothers in the music and entertainment industry who have successfully balanced their careers and motherhood. Our mission is to inspire, encourage, and support music artists to feel comfortable creating a family while continuing to pursue their music career goals. We also aim to inform artists of the potential challenges they may face and prepare them with available resources pre- and postpartum.

Our panelist include, Troi Lauren a Doula from Mama Tree Doula and a music artist who was recently seen on Tiny Desk with Sam Smith, Violinist Alexandra Cutler-Fetkewicz who is the VP of the Philadelphia Recording Academy Grammy Chapter and has played with Lauryn Hill and more, Bianca Ingram who recently completed a run with the Motown show in Atlantic City, Ebony Joi a background vocalist for Adam Blackstone's entertainment company and has been seen on major award shows including Soul Train. Lastly, we have Angie Wells Jazz vocalist who was recently nominated for a NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz Album. All of these ladies are mothers with stories.
Help us raise awareness and raise funds so we can continue to provide free educational programs for youth interested in the arts and continue our motivational middle/high FLY (Forever Love Yourself) school tours.
Get ready to enjoy a night of live music, entertainment, conversation, resources for parents and upliftment of mothers making moves.
